The sadness of Brussels

In the fifties and sixties the city of Brussels wanted to become a modern city. Entire neighbourhoods were demolished and replaced by skyscrapers. Even the oldest part of the city was torn down to create a new railroad. This photograph broke my heart. To make it a bit spooky I placed someone behind the window.
